Why we started
When founder Sophie Cawley emigrated from the UK to Perth in 2015, she quickly discovered how overwhelming the process could be — even for someone organised and resourceful. Finding the right suburb, understanding local services, and simply feeling at home took far longer than it should have.
That experience sparked an idea. What if families had a knowledgeable, caring local by their side from day one? Someone who knew Perth intimately, understood the emotional weight of relocating, and could turn weeks of uncertainty into a smooth, confident arrival.

Sophie has lived in Perth for over ten years and in that time has built up an encyclopaedic knowledge of the city's suburbs, schools, services, and hidden gems. As a high school teacher, she has a genuine insight into Perth's school communities — from understanding catchment areas and enrolment processes to knowing the culture and strengths of individual schools across the city. Since arriving, she has helped countless friends and family members navigate their own moves to Perth, connecting them with the right neighbourhoods and the kind of insider knowledge that only comes from truly living here.
